Why no published prices?+
Because every project we take on is genuinely different. A two-week website and a six-month custom platform shouldn’t be priced by the same table. We do a 30-minute call, then send a written estimate within 48 hours. No spreadsheet, no surprises.
Can I get a ballpark before booking a call?+
Yes. Email a paragraph about what you need to support@brownthrasherlabs.com and we’ll reply with a rough range before you commit to a meeting. We’d rather lose the lead than waste your time.
How long are typical engagements?+
We scope most fixed builds between two and eight weeks: sites around 2 to 6, workflows 3 to 8, integrations 1 to 4. If yours needs longer, the estimate will say so. Retainers run as long as you want them.
What if scope changes mid-project?+
We re-scope. You see the new estimate before any additional work happens. Anything inside the original scope, we eat. Anything outside, we quote. You decide whether to greenlight or defer.
Do you require a minimum engagement?+
No minimum dollar amount, no retainer floor. If the job is two days, we quote two days. If we can’t solve it in the time available, we’ll say so on the call.
What happens to my data and code if we stop working together?+
You own everything from day one. Full source code, deployment access, and a CSV export of any operational data. We hand over credentials and walk you through the runbook. No lock-in.
